Learn to Swim
For everything that is so easy, and could be so EASY, there are some things I can not get over. I LOVE swimming, going down to the very bottom, feeling the pressure of your oxygen elapsing, then when I'm coming back up ... I panic. I feel there is....tisk tisk...SOMETHING (reference to Sharks) behind me. I've got this fear since I was 7. I use to fear sharks coming up the drain in the tub...I know I know, how trivial and who really cares? The point of this confession is to shed light on a action I presume to take on March 15/07 by getting my next tat. on my forearm to add to the just begun sleeve. It will be a Shark, and with it the words "Learn to Swim". Like everything in my life, from believing I was no one, believing I was dumb, believing I was ugly, believing I was unloved and didn't fit in, I learned to swim. Love is with ME, and I am everything to me. It's about challenges and overcoming fears, it's about life on life's terms and realising NO ONE is happy 100% of the time. Its about acceptance, choice, and doing the footwork. And if all else fails: Fake it til you Make it Baby!!
