Tomorrow we will Change

And what separates us from the rest?
Some say brainsSome say it's because we are WISE, us humankind ...
But it is nothing more than pride.
Separate from you, from the ground my feet depend on
Separate from sometimes even me
Hopelessly empty inside, over flowing with pride.
You can't see through even your own eyes...
Anyone else's eyes; mom, dad, the victim, the dead.
We are separate because we chose to die,
because we chose to comfort our lies.
Kill everything in our path, fit in, stand out.
What has it cost us? What is YOUR loss?
Yes, us humans are separate
Parasites, sycophant's, and our war laden paths.
Everything else in this wide expanse,
devours ONLY to survive
But WE do it out of pride
WE do it to the ones we like
WE do it to the ones on whom we rely;
Ever fighting our instinct to be loved
Feeding our needs vicariously through things
Your pride killed the cat
And after that she never came back.
Some day soon, wake up alone with fire in your eyes
Some day soon, wake up and realise.
Some day soon, that's too late.
Be unique TODAY; save us from the end
Make a choice, that your pride you condemn.
