Ever Green

There is a place I know best of all
A place where I run barefoot
my soul flies here so quietly,
in synchronicity with the birds.
I delight in the touch of the bark
I sink into the moss in ecstasy
my mind sparkles, so clean
my eyes full of pure destiny
I am not alone, in the forest
Everything here knows me.
The eyes which see me here
want not from me they know me so well,
here we can all just breathe...
Can you smell it? Reality?
Un-adultered nature,
A dream while waking,
just steps away from me,
any time, and day, Gods place;
I can return here often and when I do not,
it calls me back, reminds me
of what I've really been craving;
the forest, my cradle, unbreakable,
it welcomes me.
